Flu Season... |
|
‘Tis the season for the flu. Here are a few pointers to help you and your family avoid a visit to the doctors office this flu season. · Build up your immune system with various immune building herbs. Check with Greg, our health and temperance leader to see which herbs will best work for you and your family. · Avoid “junk” food which will tear down your immune system. · Wash your hands repeatedly during the day. · Avoid shaking hands with others if you are feeling sick or if you notice they are ill. · Cover your mouth when sneezing or coughing. Millions of germs are spread this way. · Get plenty of sunshine and fresh air. · Drink lots of water to flush your system. · If you do feel a cold coming on, a small amount of activated charcoal mixed with juice or water has been known to knock the cold out before it begins. |

A number of activities are currently being planned for the Lake City Church. They include : à Evangelism in Peru (April 26—May 10). Are you interested in traveling to Peru with Pastor White and a team from the Florida Conference to conduct a series of meetings in Peru? Total cost is $1,500. If interested, contact Pastor White immediately. à Sabbath School Outing for our children and young adults. Do you have any suggestions? à We are looking into the possibility of taking a cruise later in the year. This will be an opportunity to invite your non-Adventist friends to get acquainted with your church family in a very casual setting. à An Easter outreach program is in the works. We hope to rent a hall and invite the community to join us. à Water Park Evangelism at Camp Kulaqua. à We are always looking for someone to organize and plan different events. Can you help? |
