Health Emphasis...

Flu Season...

Tis the season for the flu. Here a few pointers to help you and your family avoid a visit to the doctors office this flu season.

· Build up your immune system with various immune building herbs. Check with Greg, our health and temperance leader to see which herbs will best work for you and your family.

· Avoid “junk” food which will tear down your immune system.

· Wash your hands repeatedly during the day.

· Avoid shaking hands with others if you are feeling sick or if you notice they are ill.

· Cover your mouth when sneezing or coughing. Millions of germs are spread this way.

· Get plenty of sunshine and fresh air.

· Drink lots of water to flush your system.

· If you do feel a cold coming on, a small amount of activated charcoal mixed with juice or water has been known to knock the cold out before it begins.

Text Box: Out of the mouth of babes...

“A merry heart doeth good like a medicine.”

Attending a wedding for the first time a young girl whispered to her mother, “Why is the bride dressed in white?” “Because white is the color of happiness, and today is the happiest day of her life.” The child thought about this for a moment, then said, “So why is the groom wearing black?”

A Sabbath school teacher asked her class why Joseph and Mary took Jesus with them to Jerusalem. A small child responded: “They couldn’t get a baby sitter.”

Two boys were walking home from church after hearing a strong sermon about the devil. One said to the other, “What do think about all that satan stuff?” The other boy replied, “Well. you know how Santa Claus turned out. It’s probably just your Dad.”
